Not A Second Lost

What is the speed of love
That penetrates old fears
To illumine my devotion?
Its nascence felt in emptiness
Consumed when you left.
Now it consumes me,
This devotion for you, in Love;
Assuaging old fears and barrowed cautions;
Ascending upon our New World,
Its birth from two we’ve shared.
The potential lasting a lifetime;
Of things accomplished and ignored;
Of joys shared after pain;
What is the speed of love?
Not a second lost into eternity.
